    JOIN US

    For an in-person meeting of the South Pasadena Parents of Children with Special Needs Support Group

    DATE & TIME: Thursday, December 14, 7 PM – 8:30 PM

    LOCATION: Home of Diane Lasell, 805 Bank St., South Pasadena.

    Please note: Diane’s house is at the end of a long driveway up on the hill. Parking at the end of the driveway is reserved for those with limited mobility only. Please park on the street if possible.

    Subsequent meetings will be held in-person on the second Thursday of each month from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. The meeting dates for 2024 will be announced soon. The meeting are co-hosted by support group members.

    Our group seeks to provide an informal setting where parents can:

    Meet other families of special needs children;
    Discuss the difficulties and rewards of raising a child with special needs;
    Share experience and practical advice;
    Learn about local resources, such as schools, doctors, specialists, tutors, and programs.

    Raising a child with special needs can often be isolating. We hope to form a community where everyone feels welcome, unencumbered, and emotionally supported. The personal problems and concerns of support group members will remain private and confidential. Families from other cities or school districts are welcome.
